Satisfaction with Life in Elderly People Living in Rural and Urban Areas of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India

Aim: The aim of the present study is to assess satisfaction with life in elderly living rural and urban areas Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh state.
 Study Design: Exploratory research design was adopted elderly.
 Methodology: Elderly between age group 65-74 years were selected. Purposive random sampling technique snow ball used select sample from both areas. total comprised 120 people, (60 60 rural) genders. Satisfaction Life Scale (SWLS) developed by Denier et al. (1985) Results: Results revealed that nearly half respondents expressed slight dissatisfaction two third showed neutral responses. Among elderly, significantly (p=0.01) higher mean score (18.63±2.22) than elderly. Although male had scores (17.33±4.02) their counterparts non-significant differences found for life.
